Who are they and what are they doing?

Jammer: The only player who can score points. They wear a star on their helmet. Lead jammer is the first jammer to break through the opposing team's pack. Points are scored after the first pass.
Blocker: Works with other blockers to prevent the opposing team's jammer from scoring points while helping their own jammer get through the pack. They do not wear a helmet cover.
Pivot: Primarily a blocker, but may become a jammer if their jammer passes them the star helmet cover. They wear a stripe on their helmet.

Roller Derby Basics
-
Each bout lasts for about an hour and is divided into two, 30-minute halves
-
Each half consists of multiple "jams" which last a maximum of two minutes
-
Each team features five players: four blockers and one jammer
-
The objective of each jam is to score as many points as possible
-
Points are scored each time a jammer passes a member of the opposite team starting on their second lap around the track
-
The first jammer to legally clear the pack on the initial pass becomes the lead jammer and has the ability to call off the jam at any point
