Akron Roller Derby (AKRD) is a skater-operated, flat track roller derby league and 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Akron, Ohio. We were founded in 2016 with the merger of two Akron-based leagues: NEO Roller Derby & Rubber City Roller Girls.

Team Structure

Our league is organized into three teams under WFTDA guidelines, supporting skater development at every level.

All Stars – Our highest-level, WFTDA-sanctioned charter team, competing at the most advanced level.
AkRowdys – A WFTDA-sanctioned intermediate team focused on competitive play and skill development.
Alignments – Our regulation-level program for beginner skaters, emphasizing WFTDA rules, fundamentals, and progression toward sanctioned play.
